The Academy of Science for South Africa (Assaf) has appointed their new publisher, OpenJournals Publishing, to transform the journal into a fully online, open access journal. The journal is available online at http://www.sajs.co.za and has shown a remarkable number of online visitors, with close to 2000 visitors per month. OJP has published the first two issues of 2010 and we are looking forward to building the South African Journal of Science into the leading multi-disciplinary science journal in Africa.
